This is my first post here so I hope I post in the correct forum.
I am using Crystal Reports 2008 application.
In short my question is: is it possible to sort groups in a crosstab based on the value of an embedded summary within the crosstab?
My scenario is the following:
- I have a crosstab grouped by customer on rows and months on columns.
- I have two summarized fields: net income and net sales, using Sum as aggregation method.
- I have created an embedded summary, called Net Profit which is the ratio between net income and net sales, displayed in Percent. The calculation shows correct and with expected results.
Now I want to sort the customer groups in descending order by each customers total value of Net Profit. I thought I had found the solution when I found the Row Group Sort Expert, but in this tool I seem to only be able to sort on the summarized fields (net sales and net income) and not the embedded summary field (net profit).
Is it possible to sort crosstab based on the value of an included embedded summary calculation?
