Thanks for correcting my terminology - Oracle shared pool. As stated in the oribinal post, we don't get the same issue with our PB 9.02 version of the same report. The first run in the PB 9.02 version takes only 9 seconds, the second run in the PB 9.02 vesrions takes 2 seconds. If this was just a shared pool holding the optimized SQL, I wouldn't expect the 40 seconds vs. 5 seconds PB 12.5.1 difference. The DBA flushed the shared pool and the PB 12.5.1 version of the report still ran in 5 seconds.
